Right brain vs Left brain : How future world thinking changes

How our future world thinking changes?

There are two kind of thinking called, right brain thinking and left brain thinking.
Left Brain : sequential, text, logical, analysis, conscious.
Right Brain : simultaneous, context, emotional, synthesis, subconscious.

I believe following points.

1) Science is a set of logically connected metaphor which explains subset of the observation we see in the universe.

2) Spiritual is a set of metaphor which is not logically connected and which tries to explain most of the observation we see.

3) Science and Spiritual are two high level metaphors where both can’t explain 100% of the observation.

Brain is a metaphor which is part of science metaphor. Now we need to connect the logic with the emotions. Then logic(science) divided the brain to 2 part called left and right. It associated itself with left brain and associated emotions with right brain.

Recently I had read a book by Daneil Pink, "A Whole New Mind". I am giving brief of the book here.



Now let us understand how world economics will change. If the work is kind of logical then it can be easily done in following mechanisms

1. Use computer. Computer can perform almost all the work which are logical in nature. Chess game is the best example. Machine can defeat even grand master.

2. Document it and give to the human being who works for lesser cost, who are available in any part of the world(according to US it is India and China).

But Computer can do only logical operation but it cant do emotional operation. If human is doing routine work then he needs emotional support, so he prefers to work with the leader who are emotionally supportive. Computer cant perform creative work like design, acting (playing), motivating etc.

If you go by demand supply rules, it is easy to get the work completed if it is logical in nature. So more demand will be there related to emotions, creativity.

Let us see following cases.

In the world market, cost of India produced cashew nut is high. Only reason for this is, India produced cashew nut looks beautiful since it is cleaned manually.Beauty is associated with emotions. If there are plenty of option of cashew nut, then people prefer beautiful looking one, if it works out for same cost.

Let us understand the car manufacturing. Now there is no much scope for scientific invention in the field of automobile. Speed limit, Fuel utilization has reached their maximum limit. Now even robot can assemble the car. If you take any automobile company, in future they need not hire much engineers.But they need to hire designers(i am not talking about software designer).Look and feel of the car is more important. Color combination of seat, look and feel of the seat, emotional feeling what people get when they sit in car are important than engineering aspects.

We all dislike the teacher preaching us the values. But all of us like panchatantra stories. Look at this. Intention of preaching(arguing) and story telling is same. But which one is effective?

Now there are lot of open source software available. In future, there will be plenty of open source available. In that case how do you integrate many bits and piece of software and give solution to the problem becomes important than development of software. In that case less number of programmers are needed. So we need to be more synthesis rather than analytical.

One day my wife (she is working as teacher in school) narrating one incident happened in their school. One person visited their school and demonstrated digital board. You can feed whole chapter to this board. Same board reads out the lesson required. She asked me why we need a teacher if we purchase that kind of tool. Then I told her, if teacher is just dictating notes and reading out the book then definitely, digital board is better option than teacher. It means in future teacher needs to get engaged with student emotionally and otherwise digital board will replace teachers.

You may be aware of that how jokes program are becoming famous in Bangalore. Routine workers are getting bored in life. They need an entertainer. Future world will be full of routine work. In that context demand will be more for the entertainer, who can play and entertain.

Once I had been to the course conducted by Sri Ravi Shankara. There I found lot of rich people who are keen to do services to society and donating the money. So money is not able to give the satisfaction. They are searching for meanings of their existence on this earth.

So I feel (feeling is associated with right brain:-)) in future

1. Beautifully designed material gets more attention when there are plenty of well-engineered product

2. The person who can tell nice story and convey the message will get attention than the person who tells same message directly

3. The person who can synthesize the existing available things which are developed using past analytical skills will get more importance.

4. The manager/leader who can emotionally engage will get more importance than the person who does routine work.

5. The person who can be playful will get more importance than the person one who is serious.

6. Finally in routine, materialistic world, finding meaning for the life becomes important.
